Understand consumers through what they do, buy, and experience

Meaningful consumer research requires more than age, gender, and location. Yamada Research recruits participants using category behaviour, product usage, purchase recency, brand relationships, lifestyle, household profile, and other study-specific criteria.

Consumer audiences we recruit

General population through to niche and low-incidence groups, defined by real behaviour and household profile.

  • General population samples
  • Category buyers and users
  • Brand users
  • Competitor-brand users
  • Lapsed customers
  • Prospective customers
  • Parents and household decision-makers
  • Students and young adults
  • Affluent consumers
  • Rural and regional consumers
  • Digital-service and app users
  • Frequent and occasional buyers
  • Lifestyle and attitudinal segments
  • Niche or low-incidence consumer groups

Feasibility for any consumer audience depends on category incidence, quota structure, geography, timeline, and where fieldwork needs to take place.

Need consumers who bought a category within a specific timeframe?

How consumer participants are validated

Claimed behaviour is not the same as real behaviour. Category usage, recency, and ownership are checked against the quota the study needs.

Validation methods are selected according to the audience and study requirements—a product-test recruit is screened differently from a general-population survey sample.

  • Category and product-usage confirmation
  • Purchase-frequency screening
  • Purchase-recency screening
  • Brand or model ownership checks
  • Life-stage and household-profile screening
  • Geographic and quota controls
  • Screener consistency checks
  • Duplicate prevention
  • Proof of purchase or ownership where appropriate
  • Attendance confirmation
  • Product-test protocol checks where relevant
